Chavelo et Coto, deux délinquants un peu fêlés, attaquent Ulises Morales, un chauffeur de taxi, et le contraignent à devenir complice de leurs vols à la tire. Lorsqu'il retrouve sa très honnête famille, Ulises constate que cette attaque lui a permis de gagner en quelques heures plus d'argent qu'il n'en a eu depuis des mois. Obsédé par les traites de sa Lada-taxi qu'il ne parvient pas à honorer, il se laisse tenter par l'argent facile. Commence alors pour les trois hommes une fuite en avant sur fond de crise sociale urbaine...
