Dans l'Ouest américain, Daffy Duck travaille comme balayeur dans un hôtel situé à la frontière. Le canard est excédé par son travail et lorsque le patron de l'hôtel, Porky Pig, lui offre comme cadeau un nouveau balai, Daffy jette l'éponge et démissionne. Il construit un nouvel hôtel tout juste en face de celui de son ancien patron. Mais les affaires de Daffy vont s'avérer moins bonne que celle de Porky, et le canard va tout faire pour se débarasser de son concurrent...
